All baseball & softball catchers age 9-16
Skill Sessions: $299 Per Catcher ($149 deposit at registration)

All CATCHER SKILL SESSIONS will be conducted at Mesquite High School located at 500 S. McQueen Rd, Gilbert, AZ (MAP)
All GYM WORKOUT SESSIONS will be conducted at Top Tier Training Center located at 450 E Warner Rd, Suite #4, Chandler, AZ (MAP)

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Pre-registration is required.  Please email me if you’d rather pay with cash or check.  If we for any reason have to cancel the event, you will be issued a full refund. If for any reason YOU need to cancel your registration, we do NOT do refunds and you will be issued a camp credit good for one year.

CATCHERS SKILLS SESSION DETAILS:

We will be covering what I call "The Big 3" skills of the position of catcher which include:

1. Receiving technique,
2. Blocking form,
3. Throwing mechanics.

We will also discuss understanding pitchers and pitching, the importance of the "6th Tool," and what it takes to be a successful catcher.

All initial teaching and discussion will be performed by Coach Todd while his coaching staff will help run the fundamental stations.

TENTATIVE CAMP SCHEDULE:
Participants will be separated by age and then rotate through several fundamental skill stations.  The tentative schedule is as follows:

Day #1 – Stances, Receiving & Blocking.
Day #2 – Throwing fundamentals

If we have time, I may cover some of the other "special plays" including bunt plays, pop ups, tag plays and force plays.
 

We will have ice cold water available and take several water breaks throughout the camp to help the participants stay hydrated.  

WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR TO CAMP:
– Baseball appropriate clothing including baseball pants. (shorts are NOT recommended).
– IMPORTANT: Each Catcher MUST have their own complete set of catchers gear including a protective cup.
– Cleats and tennis shoes as we will be both inside (for the workout sessions with T3) and outside for the catchers skill sessions. 
– Water bottle & snack.

TOP TIER TRAINING - T3 - WORKOUT DETAILS:

Join us this weekend for 2 days of comprehensive strength and conditioning that will give you the tools to develop the physical qualities necessary to excel as a catcher.

 

Over the course of 2 days participants will have the opportunity to learn and implement a wide variety of strength and conditioning principles that will prevent injury and improve performance.

This workouts will focus on movements used inside and outside the weight room to develop explosive bat speed, increase arm strength, assess and improve hip and ankle mobility, injury prevention strategies for the knees, and improve running speed and change of direction.
 

Participants will be taught and perform mobility drills to improve tight hips and ankles, the best exercises to safely and effectively develop lower body strength and power, medicine ball drills that create transfer in bat speed and arm strength between the weight room and the field, plyometric exercises to develop explosive lower body power and corrective exercise to prevent knee injury and overuse.

Workouts will last 90 minutes and take place on both Saturday and Sunday From 2:00-3:30 inside the T3 Training Center.
